Family: 7th son of Prince Dolan Von Rimma, who is the 3rd son of King Dahon Indupar. Has 14 first cousins [on his father's side], 10 nieces and nephews [so far], and a mangy host of other noble relations.

If you want to know how his mind works, observe Hugh Laurie's characters in Black Adder the 3rd - George, the Prince of Wales - and Lieutenant George from Black Adder Goes Forth.... and add in just a dash of Ace Rimmer from Red Dwarf [also a big of Arnold Rimmer, too], and you'll have Othar Von Klenner, Esq.

Personal History:

Born the seventh son of the third son of the reigning monarch of the Induparan Crown Worlds, Othar grew up in comfort and style, with only moderate responsibilities expected of him in maintaining his fiefs. Due to this, he grew up with almost no ambition for power, just a driving thirst for adventure and glory. Unfortunately, also due to his lack of drive and easy life, he is an oblivious, pompous idiot. But the best kind of pompous idiot - he is generous to a fault and seems genuinely surprised to discover that not everyone lives as well as him.
After an encounter with a group of pirates who attempted to hijack his pleasure yacht, Othar was awoken to the greater world beyond courtly parties, political intrigue, Imperial fashions, and multi-species orgies. He hired the pirates to take him and a few of his like minded friends adventuring, first to Star Forge Station, and on from there.

As more and more people began writhing under the Empire's weight, Othar began to notice the corruption and oppression.. and decided he was just the man to do something about it.

Under the advisement of the pirates, made shortly after beginning their employment with the nobleman, Othar took a pseudonym - Francis Blackburn - but frequently forgot such, and just went by his traditional given name, only adding the small honorific Esquire, to spice things up. Luckily he is far enough down the totem pole that most ppl have no idea who he is, anyways.

Since joining up with the newly formed Rebel Alliance, Othar has been pawned off on one unit to another, only staying long enough to fill their coffers and drain their patience. Attended by his loyal manservant droid, Baldric, Othar obliviously carries on his inane quest to attain glory, save the day, and find a girl to take home to his mother.
