Biography:
Dante was born February 11, 2144 as the second of what would be four children to Giovanni and Serafina Viganò. Born at Meyer Children's Hospital in Florence, Italy, his parents both came from old traditional families, most of which had roots stretching back from before the Renissance. Sadly, his two parents held themselves up as such, coming off as snobbish and having inflated egos. It would eventually rub off onto the two girls and, to a lesser extent, Dante himself. He attended a private school that did nothing to remedy the problem. The school teaching every grade level, he was never exposed to anything outside of that learning environment which would eventually hinder him when going to the Academy.
Even though it was a pampered school, Dante was never interested in an education versus doing things out of the classroom. As a typical little brother tended to do, he followed his brother Angelo around constantly, much to the older brother's dismay. Not as charming as his little brother would eventually turn out to be, Angelo learned freerunning on his own in an attempt to impress the ladies. It was the little brother's desire to learn from his older that led Dante down a similar path with his brother as his teacher.
As time went on, the two became older brothers to their two sisters. The two of them, now sharing a common hobby, eventually became inseperable and did a great many things together. While Angelo was the better freerunner, it was Dante who began to excel in other areas that his brother never could. Sadly, getting the better of his brother on several occassions went to the younger brother's head, inflating his ego but sending his confidence to extreme heights. It was this ego boost that led to his other talent he discovered: His ability with the ladies
While harmless flirting when younger, it quickly progressed to other more physical adventures as he got older. He had daliances with several girls, several of which were in his own class. This “gift†often drew the ire of his own parents as well as those whom had to chase the agile man out of their daughter's bedrooms.
All was not lost however, as between his nighttime bedroom activities came a refreshing interest in art and music. Whether he took up the violin was in order to impress more ladies or of genuine desire was initially disputed, he convinced his parents that it was a legitamite pursuit with the amount of time he put into learning it.
Between schooling, art and women, it wasn't long before he got old enough to go on to a secondary education. While he had matured a bit, he still chased after women and it quickly led him to chase one to joining Starfleet. It was a shock to him the degree of difficulty that was the Academy entrance exam. Barely making the cut, he had barely gotten settled into his cadet's uniform before he was off to his old ways. A fact that was cut short by the humbling experience that was classes at the Academy...it actually required work on his part.
The work eventually led him to realize that his unorthodox and quick thinking his freerunning had given him translated well to tinkering with things and making them work in ways they may not have originally been intended for. His instructors took notice too, and guided him into an engineering career. Fitting in well, he started to take his studies seriously to make him fit in as well as he possibly could. Despite the work he put in, there were more than a few talented individuals in the same field and he only barely got into the top half of his class. But it was his unconventional thinking that got people murmuring about his ability to not be stuck in conventional by-the-book procedure.

Medical History:
Dante has suffered some broken bones and a few internal injuries when he was first learning his freerunning. He has a scar from his mouth to his chin from some retaliation after insinuating he had slept with the sisters of somebody who didn't much care for him. The man then hit him in the face with a broken bottle. Narrowly missing his eyes, the sharp edges caught the edge of his mouth to his chin before Dante and Angelo wrestled him to the ground and disarmed him.
Appearance:
Dante has black hair and dark brown eyes to go with his light olive complexion. Athletically inclined and well-defined, he possesses a great deal of muscular strength and endurance for someone his size due to his freerunning and gymnastics. With a nice, easy smile that compliments his easygoing attitude that, when coupled with his eyes, convey his great deal of self-confidence.
Dressed in the typical Starfleet uniform while on duty, he usually wears classy but comfortable clothing for when he's off duty. Aside from his dress uniform, he does own a few suits including a few tuxedo variations. However, he only gets dressed in his formal wear when he has to, preferring looking less uptight and more easy to talk to.
Personality:
A seducer of women and a playful man, he comes from a more prestigious background and has many friends. A friendly yet objective person, Dante fully devotes himself to whatever cause he chooses to pursue. He also possesses a rebellious nature, and was often impetuous, arrogant, and impatient. However, by the time he graduated the Academy, he had become a calmer man and more patient, although his arrogance still surfaces from time to time.
Dante is also passionately loyal to his family and Starfleet. Always quick to defend his sister's honor, even though they think him overbearing at times, and is always ready to help his mother with whatever she needed help with. While devoted to his duties as a Federation officer, he puts his family above all else, always making sure that they were well cared for.
Dante is known for his charm, good looks, flirtatious nature and predisposition for womanizing. Even before attending the Academy, he had many encounters with girls of all varieties. By the time he graduated from Starfleet Academy, he had already shared multiple romantic relationships with a number of different women, though none of them had any realistic long-term potential.
Passionate about the arts, music and history, he spent a great deal of time in the various cultural areas of his home city. Even going so far as to study those things, he developed a deep understanding and and felt that they were something to be truly appreciated. His studies led to him taking up the violin with determination. With practice, he eventually came to be a great violinist who had played with several local orchestras around Florence.
Skills/Abilities:
Dante has been a very skilled freerunner from a young age. He learned how to freerun under the tutelage of his older brother, and is able to move quickly and efficiently in sprinting, climbing, and jumping. In addition, he is also an enduring athlete, being able to perform all these actions for an extended period without tiring out, always being aware of his surroundings and planning his next moves quickly and carefully.
A capable engineer, Dante never achieved the highest grades during the entirety of his student career, often focusing on either running on top of buildings or chasing after women. What he lacks in great grades, he makes up for in common sense and his ability to improvise a solution on the spot. Due to his other talents, he is supremely confident in his abilities and very rarely doubts himself.
An expert violinist, he often plays for his family and friends. He has, however, been asked to play for somebody's special event or in small orchestras in Florence. He practices often and knows a great deal of violin music by memory having played it so many times.
Possessions:
Having to share a room with various other roommates, Dante has few large possessions. His area of the room is often decorated with smaller copies of artworks and little trinkets sent to him by his family and friends. He also has a few books, all of which are written in his native Italian.
His most prized possession, however, is an exceptionally crafted antique Italian violin which he treats with great care. He uses it only when playing for special occasions where he has to play for other people, resorting to another violin during practice or for routine playing.
