CHARACTER HISTORY:
James was born in Spokane to Elizabeth and Richard Hatchet. He was a normal young boy growing up.

On November 5th, 2249, his family was coming home from enjoying a quiet night out when they were jumped. The attackers quickly stabbed his father, severing the spinal cord. Then after securing both him and his brother, proceeded to beat and rape his mother infront of him. His brother thankfully was spared from witnessing it. After a while, the attackers left and several hours later someone did happen to notice and provide assistance. He found out later that his father had survived the incident but had bleed out after the attackers left, before the medical attention arrived. His mother never recovered and slipped into a coma because of the attack.

As a young teen of fourteen, James withdrew from the world for a time due to the attack. After a month or so, he came out of his shell again and showed drive and determination to protect others. When asked, his responce was "Because no one was there to protect us."

Foster care was provided for the two boys and luckily they were kept together. A fact pressed by his therapist because of the mental episode he showed during that month.

His drive and determination lead James to apply for StarFleet. He would use his station, skills, and drive to protect all those he could.

He tackled his classes and soon rose above his classmates in fields where his skills could be put to use to protect others.

With his recent graduation, he is eager to get out there and find the dangers before it's too late.
