CHARACTER HISTORY:Jill Andrea Vodden had a relatively easy childhood, good in school, many friends, and happy. She loved playing her guitar and singing. Her father Lt. Cmdr Greg Vodden joined Starfleet. It was a few years later he was killed on the USS Kelvin. Jill felt a determination to follow in his footsteps and applied for Starfleet Medical.

In medicine, she discovered she had an aptitude for what she desired. Driven and determined despite her young age, she pushed past many students and was third in her class. She especially seemed to have a talent for clinical research. She graduated with honors.

Returning home for a leave to visit her mother and her brother who had gone into business starting a company that built freighters, Jill was asked to come work with her family, but she declined. Her path was before her, and she continued her work in Starfleet, assigned to the main headquarters, San Francisco, Earth.

There she met a fellow officer named David Kent.For two years she was with Kent and was happy, till she discovered he was cheating on her. Angry, she spoke to the CMO and requested a transfer. She was assigned to her first starship assignment, the USS Wasp.

She served two years on the Wasp then received a promotion to Lt. Commander and received a new assignment back to Starfleet Medical as a Practitioner and general researcher. This lasted for one year, then Dr. Vodden was moved to a new department, Frontier Medicine. Designed specifically for long term mission assignments for what was to come, Jill played a key role in developing several new designs for equipment, and medicines.

The next year, she was reassigned once more, this time as Chief Medical Officer,to Moonbase Alpha One, a research facility designed to test drugs and the use of them in a vacuum environment. This led to many new advances as Starfleet was preparing a new line of ships for launch on five year missions. Dr. Vodden submitted several papers and recommendations on her teams findings.

The following year to her surprise, she was once again pulled back into the field. Assigned as CMO of the USS Legacy.

Vodden plans to continue her research while onboard.
