"Ensign. are you familiar with the concept of incarceration?" He asked, "It means you're not allowed to leave your cell. And since I'm pretty sure Ensign McGuffin didn't forget this fact, I forced to wonder how you got out in the first place."

He took the transfer request from Keth's grip.

"I'll pass on the paperwork. You go back to the brig before I'm forced to do something drastic."

At this moment, Cindy wandered up smiling and asked pleasantly, "Paperwork at a party? Keth, I didn't realize that you were working so hard. This is a time to have fun." She looked over at Ensign McGuffin and TK trying to ascertain the current status in both reality and Keth's world.

Having a party while good for stress relief was still a little worrisome unless there was no further danger of problems with the Romulans. Still, Captain Cindy did what she wanted, so after ensuring things were as they should be in sickbay, Jill finally found the time to show up. She entered the party area and went to get a drink. Part of her was still thinking about the whole Huanni mess, but if he was transferred to security, that would make things for her a whole lot easier.

She obtained her drink then looked around. Mingling was never her strong suit..

Finishing up with Nav, time to get the others involved! Thank you so much for your patience Rose and Stuart, I know the jp's go slow in between my travels and terrible internet connections, if any

Nav took the step to appease the Captain as she made her excuses. She followed the Captain’s gaze and indeed saw Keth which gave her some relief at least to see him out of The Brig. Although TK didn’t appear to be that impressed. But the very few times that Nav had seen the Lieutenant, he rarely did. But if anyone might wear away a veneer of grumpy, Keth and his innocent enthusiasm might do just that. Or kill him. Both might work equally… depending upon the circumstances.

She said over her shoulder, half expecting that Luke was taking his cues for leaving as Cindy walked away, “You’re safe now, Luke. She’s turned her attention to Keth and Security. Feel free to make a run for it… I’ll take the blame…”

Luke, too, watched the Captain go. TK he knew, well, he knew his temper and stubborn bravado which quite possibly had helped in them not getting blown to bits. Luke respected that since he liked himself being in one piece. The Legacy could be glued back together (heck, it already was!), he on the other hand… not so much. His head was spinning a little bit, though he had no idea why. With his remaining bits of reason he peered into his glass, surely this had been his only one? He immediately suspected the Captain having spiked his drink. Devious devilish dame! And so unbecoming of a Captain. Silently he breathed out out some air that had worked its way up. He then noticed Nav was talking to him. Telling HIM to run? What had she been doing this whole conversation if not running? And wasn’t he the one trying to make sure she was safe from the Captain’s attempts to get them together? When did all this got turned around?

Women, so confusing creatures.

Luke contemplated for a while as best as his intoxicated mind let him, and why did the room spin? “Nnaavv”, he began, not noticing he slurred with his voice, “jusst becaussse zhe Captin..butttt ...tooogetter...friendsss...youramazzzi…”

Had someone turned off the lights? Luke felled himself slipping but he had no idea why? What was in this drink!? He brought his glass up to his eye, squinting at it, then back at Nav, who had turned into a beautiful browninsh blur. He did hit his head at one time during the battle… Then the lights went out and he slumped forward towards Nav and fell. Unconscious.

Nav blinked a little, surprised that Luke hadn’t simply run, but now even more confused as he fell forward toward her. She braced herself for the weight, and looked around, hoping that someone might help. It couldn’t have been the beer… he’d only had one, and she was sure it was fine. After all, she was drinking the same thing. Swigging it, she put her glass down on the floor, and let him fall slowly, but gently and then guided him to the floor. “Um… help?” she said awkwardly, unsure about what to do. “Ensign Osswell… he’s… down…”

Sleep was wonderful.

Marian snuggled further into her pillows and fuzzy, non-issued blankie, enjoying that wonderful state of half sleep where your body feels heavy, the blankets a warm cocoon, and the electrical hum of the ship lulling you back to sleep.

No. She refused to open her eyes.

Well, she couldn't open them anyways, they were heavy as led.

Dammit.

She forced an eyelid open, dry eye protesting. Its funny how quickly that perfect state turns into the worst morning drag ever.

Marian yawned, grimacing at the taste of dog breath.

It took a few attempts, but Marian finally, and begrudgingly, pulled herself upright and out of her bed.

She dragged herself to her computer and pulled up the message that was blinking at her - a party invite?

"For the love of pumpkins!" She groaned, realizing that her quarters were directly beneath the lounge, and thusly subjected to whatever loud, irritating music they were playing loud enough for the bass to pass through airtight bulkheads.

With a chorus of swears that would have made her mother wash her mouth out with soap, the disgruntled PAfO pulled herself to the shower and got herself gussied up. The shower worked wonders, waking her up and putting her in a MUCH better mood. She'd been thinking of making a small appearance, grabbing some food, and then finding a quiet spot to get caught up on her reading - she was halfway through the final piece of a series of classical books, and she needed to know how the confrontation between Arya and Danerys ended... but now she opened her closet and looked through her wardrobe to find something party -worthy. Most everything was pretty conservative, but she did have a kick ass purple dress that did all kinds of great things for her.

Pulling the dress on, she gave her hair one final check in the mirror, then headed up to join the party.

Thumpa Thump

She entered the lounge and was nearly bowled over by the wave of music... and heat. God God, it had to be 30 degrees at the very least in there! ON A SPACE SHIP!!! She shook her head with amusement and joined the press of bodies, moving across the dance floor area towards the hastily prepared buffet line of snacks.

She was almost ready to pounce upon the chips and dip, when she belatedly noticed the large, fuzzy cat standing nearby... she paused, wondering if she should just slink back into the crowd rather than deal with Keth's fawning. No matter how vehemently she explained to him that she wasn't famous, and that not everyone on tv is famous, he disbelieved her. He'd even sent her a gift.... no matter how it is meant, a dead, slightly chewed tribble is never a fun thing to find on your doorstep.

Lieutenant Junior Grade, Chao Bird turned to the Commander and told him with her lisp, "Nice and qwiet, Commander. Anyting you want to watch for?"

“Trouble,” observed Phil.

She gave him a confused look.

“Anything out of the ordinary,” he clarified. “Ordinary will do me absolutely fine for the time being. Engineering are still fixing the leftovers of our last bout of ‘interesting’ and until we can get to McKinley, we’re short a shuttle, so let’s keep our eyes open and our heads down…”

“Aye thir,” she responded, turning back to the controls.
