OOC: Well, the plan was to have him bail out the minute the shuttle began accelerating, but in the interests of keeping things moving, I'll roll with it.

When TK regained consciousness he was forced to admit that the Loadmaster had done a simply beautiful job programming the torpedo blast pattern not to vaporize him immediately. Then he realized he'd have to write an official letter of commendation to the man's supervisor, and was immediately pissed off about it.

The shuttle doors opened and the medical team rushed to his side.

"Piss off I'm fine." He growled at them. He wasn't fine; his attempt to rise unaided only ended a severe headache and a moment where the shuttle began spinning at warp two. He shut up and let the medics do their job.

"How to Dodge a Bullet 101". Now there was a catchy title for the Starfleet Helm Officer Specialisation Track. Somehow: "Evasive Manouvres During Combat" didn't quite cut it. But in any case, those lessons paid off. "The Crazy Musquito", "The Leaf In The Wind", "The Hop Hop Dance with Lightning". So much better than "Evasive pattern Alpha, Beta etc etc." Starfleet strategists didn't have any imagination.

Fortunately Luke did. And like a leaf let the Legacy soar through space, dodging where he could, turning the ship so that the enemy fire would hurt it least when he couldn't. It was over within a minute or two. Most battles were. But it might have seemed like an eternity.

As soon as Norsson and TK were back on board Luke obeyed CC's commands and the Legacy sped back into the Neutral Zone as quick as they had entered it. Once on the other side again, Luke's heart beat dropped, but only a little. He sighed a heavy sigh... He sincerely hoped this wasn't going to be normal practice for the Legacy crew..
