Cindy quirked an eyebrow, wondering who would override Security. "I'm going to send Williams to assist you and help figure out who breached security. In the meantime, see who is in there and figure out if assistance is needed. I want to know that everyone is safe," Cindy told Nav.

"Aye, Captain," Nav said, more preoccupied with the conundrum than worrying about the protocols (or lack thereof) about addressing Cindy. She had already closed communications as she pondered over how to override an override without a) breaking the ship or b) alerting the ship or the port authorities. Surely this was something internal they could handle? But with Lieutenant Williams? Nav took a rather deep sigh and let it out slowly. There wasn't going to be any way to manage keeping this quiet, and with the Commander and... she squinted. Some unknown person... woman, she corrected herself...

Using her bright and shiny new Command ID, she overrode the communication block and coughed apologetically before addressing the people in the room. "Commander?" Nav asked. "Are you and your companion all right in there?"

Varina looked up as the crewman's voice came over the coms, and she was certain she was turning the same shade of red as the warning light. Companion? Really? She shook her head, convinced she was about to be the center of a rumor involving the XO so sonn after she'd just arrived. She considered correcting the woman, but knew no matter how she worded her response, it would sound like she was trying to deny something that was happening. Instead she took a breath and turned to Commander Wilson to see how he would respond.
