Joined Starfleet of own accord as a young Tellarite, as he was immensely curious about Human teaching methods and ExtraTellarial biology. Already in possession of a biology degree from a Tellarian University, Yvildr at first attempted to go through schooling on Earth to become a medical doctor.
The differences in cultures between Tellarites and Humans was such that he was deemed unsuitable to ever care for the ill or injured, and was instead steered from medical towards the hard sciences.
Overall, Yvildr spent 22 years studying either at Starfleet Academy, or other associated civilian Universities.
He now has a PHD in Biology, a masters in botany, and another in chemistry.
He has also dabbled in microbiology and toxicology.
After graduation, Yvildr was posted to various science stations, but strangely kept being traded from one unit to another.
Now, he is on the Legacy.
He mostly keeps to himself, as he has learned that Humans do not appreciate Tellarite customs, such as vigorous debate, complaining, arguments, and insults.
Humans, he has decided, are a very sensitive people.
